Suggestion for Soundbar 6000 Placement
I just setup a Soundbar 6000 with my Samsung TV, BluRay, and DirectTv HD Dvr. Aside from some issues with getting the Directv universal remote to work right with the SB 6000 it works great.
I have a bigger issue with placement of the bar though. It sits nicely in front of the TV and sounds great, however, it obscures the IR receiver for the TV. For now have to turn TV of manually or walk up right next to it and point remote directly down at receiver. Mostly this is only an issue turning TV on or off but also rears it's ugly head if any other TV functions are needed like switching input.
Haven't come up with a solution yet as there really is no other good place for the SB since everything sits in an entertainment center. I thought of raising up the TV an inch or so but the SB sits atop of the TV stand so that would not help. Just wondering if others have dealt with a soundbar hiding the TV's IR port and what solution ideas might be out there.

I was able to turn around (reverse) the TV stand which was a bit narrower on the other side. By doing that it allows me to pull the soundbar off of the stand which drops it down about 3/4 of an inch and will hopefully give the clearance needed.
