Old Vinyl...What To Do?

What do you guys do with your old, tired vinyl?
A couple times every year, i get these boxes of vinyl from my mother's, father's, neighbor's, sausage maker. Once i go through them and remove all the junk, i've acquired a pile of vinyl that is useless. I can deal with some scratches but some look like the stylus was a rock on a 2x4.
My question is, do i just send them to vinyl heaven or is there something less heartbreaking that i can do with them?
The only thing i can find online is people making bowls. YAY!......no...................

Thats pretty funny my buddies wife had a big bash for his 40th B-day suprise party, (you know the lordy, lordy, look whos forty) type bash with the retro vibe everything 70's theme going on. There were plenty of bowls made out of vinyl, perfect for holding snacks and what not. I suggest Vinyl Heaven, however that clock idea seems pretty cool!Home Theater

Do what George does...list them, sell them at a fair price, then donate the proceeds.
Vinyl should go to a good home - and you can feel better by both preserving the vinyl 'tradition' and giving to cause you care about.
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music. -
You can use some of them as an alphabetical divider in your vinyl collection. Just toss the cover(s) and paint a white letter on the outside edge [both sides] of the album itself and slide them in to your vinyl rack....but not all of the way. Let just enough of the album stick out to where you can see the letters sticking out.

Ah, here you go....just like this cat from Ontario did.
I may actually end up doing the same thing to my CD collection......after I'm done doing it to my vinyl collection first.

Maybe i'll make a couple bowls just to say i did. :frown:
I've got a bunch of the record frames to hang on the wall the Mrs. says i'm not allowed to hang any more.
That's a start. I have enough to do the alphabet about 3-4 times.list them, sell them at a fair price, then donate the proceeds
