Was in my local "Advanced Audio" shop the otherday, dude had a set of Quatros set up, said they were 10K a pair.

I was asked what kind of music I liked, he put on some Stevie Ray Vaughn, uh...wow

The guy finally had to kick me out

Is this the Advanced Audio in Tacoma, WA? If so, I'm gonna have to play hooky from work next week.

You can always judge a good shop by how willing they are to demo the expensive stuff.

My local favorite has a set of JBL Everest IIs set up for demo. Not many shops do that for a $40k set of speakers but then to add icing to the cake, they connect them to a pair of McIntosh MC452s...They usually have to drag me kicking and screaming out the door.

And if you enjoyed SRV on those speakers, try a live recording of Carlos Santana...

Yes sir, right there on Tac Mall blvd. Bob encouraged me to come back with my favorite CD's. If he'll let us bring some "refreshments", I say we give it a go!!!

For sure, bring a CD or two, and then prepare to be blown away.

curious as well as I don't know many dealers that have those sitting around. I'm in WI and keep seeing their stuff on Audiogon however haven't been into their store before.
