I suppose I understand why

I guess that access to the For Sale threads is to deter spam. But I came here for advise as I refurbish my stereo set up & am buying products from strangers when I could be doing business with forum members. Kind of at cross purposes to one of the forums reasons for being. By the time I reach 100 posts, I'll likely have 99% of what I'm looking for.

This isn't CL for Flea Bay. We try to pass on deals BETTER than you will find elsewhere to CONTRIBUTING members. Hang around, post a bit. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get to 100.

My guess would be that, most people come here lookin for something, and end up staying, and sharing their expierience. Thats what I did. Good people round here!

It's got nothing to do with spam. It has everything to do with what our Flea Market has always been about, Polkie deals to other Polkies who have stuck around, made themselves known, made friends and contribute to the boards. Advice is free, access to the Flea Market is earned.

    Amen. That's quotable material.

apparently it works for yous & I'm certainly not trying to start a contest. Agree that it is a most excellent forum. I guess yous view the "for sale" section as more of a trading area than a for sale area.

No trading, items are bought and sold. If you want instant access to an audio Flea Market you can join Audio Karma and pay $25.00 to see it.

Bob - Post a thread and state what you are looking for. Members can then contact you via PM if they want to sell to you.

I see where you guys are coming from, but I don't think it's fair to take access away from people who already had it.

I joined about 3 years ago, don't post much, but I read, read, read... A couple of years ago I contacted and drove to Chicago to
meet erniejade. I bought a set of SDA-SRS from him. Awesome guy! I brought them back to Kentucky and since then I've cleaned them up and restored them cosmetically so they look as good as they sound.

My point is, I would not have found and bought these speakers without this site, now I feel like a resource has been taken from
me and I have to earn back what I already had..

My bad. I guess I was including my guest time before I actually joined.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it, I really wasn't planning on it though.
