I am considering parting out a pair of SDA 1Cs. One 6511 is bad but all other MWs are in great shape. The Silver Coil domes all work but 3 have been dimpled by questing little fingers. THe cabinets are pretty beat up but the guts should go to a good home.

Wolfsong..if you have original 6511 drivers,,that are in 100% working shape, i might be interested in them.
You can send me a PM, but i would need pics of the drivers front and back.
    Thanks

Wolfson- welcome to Club Polk. That being said- new members are not allowed to sell items till they participate on the forum and have a minimum of 100 post count. Personally if all your posts are short and in happy bday threads with nothing substantial to add to the discussion- I for one would still not buy from a new member. We can be a helpful group and a grumpy group at the same time. If all you want is rid of the speakers then go to ebay. If you want to share in your appreciation of audio and specifically polk to some degree then stay around awhile get to know a few folks and I'm sure someone could use the parts you have.

Innoncent price ?'s are not usually a pleasant conversation starter. Anyone with any common sense can go to google and the bay and search for recent sales to determine that info. Trying to circumvent rules that have been established to protect the forum and its members will not be looked upon very favorably.

    Wow,

I just went back and read the vitriol that followed my 2009 post regarding some 2.3s. Bye now. No more posts from me.

That's what you said 4 years ago, I'm not sure how we'll manage losing someone with your rate of participation and contribution, but we'll have to find a way to survive.

Like my kid, the only time you hear anything is when they want something. Too bad I would have bought the cabinets if he was local.

Could someone give us an informal ranking of Polk speakers. e.g. A9's, RTi 150, RTA 12b, SDA-1a, SDA-2a, RTi 12, LSi 15
Secondly, how did Polk do so well long ago with passive radiators vs. active woofers - seems strange to me?
