1.2TL Shipping Weight Versus Actual Speaker Weight

Can anyone save me the trouble of getting the 1.2TL's on the bathroom scale? The manual identifies "shipping weight" as 180 lbs. Does that include the original carton? I remember the carton was the size of a refrigerator. If so, can anyone confirm the actual cabinet weight?
Thanks,
Reagan

I'm pretty sure the 180 lbs. is the speaker alone, shipping weight would be more.Political Correctness'.........defined

When I had my SRS 1.2a speakers shipped from Florida to New Hampshire, the speakers weighed in at 185 pounds each. I don't know what the total shipping weight was, but I had them heavily protected in individually constructed boxes and then wrapped together and strapped to a pallet.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.
Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One. -
I called Polk and they confirmed that "shipping weight" includes all packaging.
For what it may be worth, I weighed one of the 1.2TL's and it weighed 155 lbs versus 185 lb "shipping weight" identified in the manual. While I was at it (being overly anal), I also weighed one of the SDA 1A's and the speaker weighed 72 lbs (versus the listed shipping weight of 85 lbs).
The only reason that I am interested on knowing the exact weight is that I was trying to determine the compressive forces imposed on the bass brace if the two rear spikes are removed. (It turns out to be about 17 lbf in compression).
