SL 3000 vs RDO 198 tweeters for SDA 2Bs

I recently bought a great pair of Polk SDA 2Bs from forum member bluecomet. I have been in audio heaven ever since and love listening to them.

The SDA 2Bs I bought had alrealy been tl'd and also had the SL 3000 tweeter upgrade.
I have been reading that there is another tweeter upgrade for the SDA 2Bs, the RDO 198 tweeter.

Is the RDO 198 a big improvement over the SL 3000 tweeter?
Should I think about upgrading from the SL 3000 to the RDO 198 in the future?
If so, where can I buy the RDO 198s? Directly from Polk? How much are they (a pair)?
How easy is it to switch tweeters? Is it something I can do myself or would I have to get a tech to do it? (I have no soldering or electronics experience).

I will leave the speakers as they are for now and I am really enjoying their sound.
But I am curious if another tweeter upgrade is something I should entertain doing at some point.

Thanks.

They are the first thing that I would do for maximum improvement.
Call Helen Monday. Tell her you are a Club Polk member. They are $48 each + tax.
All you have to do is change them out they have little spade on the wires.

+1...I really like the RD0-194s. I hear the 198s are even better. What are you powering them with?

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks. I guess I will go ahead and get the RDO 198s.

How do I take the SL 3000s out and how do I install the RDO 198s?
    Is it simple to do?

Thanks. Is it that easy? Just unscrew and pop the old tweeters out and the new ones in?

Yes it is that easy. The details are making sure you get the Polarity correct +/- and transferring the gasket if needed.
