Taping Al Gore's mouth shut and keeping him away from his private jet would be cheaper and far more effective. Maybe we could get him to shut a light or two off once in a while as well...

CO2 is as oxidized as carbon can get. Our buddies, the green plants, can reduce it to sugars using light as an energy source (photosynthesis) - reducing even further to alkanes and other high-energy "fossil" (hydrocarbon) fuels will take a lot of input energy.

Unfortunately the Second Law of Thermodynamics is workin' against us. It's not even a zero sum game. As is often said of thermodynamics:

The First Law says you can't win
The Second Law says you can't even break even

This sounds right. I don't see how this process can possibly be "cost effective"! Plus it just sounds like a move backward rather than forward.

And as far as Mr. Gore. I would not speak too loudly, he might hear you! Hipocrisy is pretty much what our "current" political system is "built" upon. If you're not a hypocrite you should NOT be serving in congress! lol Trust our "elected" officials? I don't think so!

Morons all the way around constantly pontificating on what THEY DON'T KNOW or UNDERSTAND! A less "educated" elite, I've rarely seen in my lifetime. What do these guys do? Crawl under a rock and READ nothing in ANY field?
