Setting on PSW505

Just had some questions about my new sub that was hoping to get answered on here...

The PSW505 has 3 settings on the back standby, auto and on.

I am trying to figure out what each of these actually does....will standby power the sub off after a certain amount of time has passed after the receiver has been powered off?

RTI4 Polk Audio Bookself

If you want to turn on when the AVR/reciever is powered up, set to auto. It will turn off after about 20 minutes of no signal being recieved. The on setting is always on, while the standby can be thought of as sort-of off. The sub will ignore the signal being sent to it.
