Definately i placed my sub in the corner. I read somwhere that your not supposed to place the sub equal distance from the walls. (back and side) i have mine at an equal distance tho. Its 10.5 inches away from each wall. How far in inches should i place the sub for optimal sound and also is that non equal distance thing true or just someones idea?

Scott, the non-equal distance thing applies to the main speakers, but not the sub. The idea of having the sub tight to the corner is to excite all the room resonances(floor and two nearest walls)about equally, which results in the strongest and smoothest bass. The sub( i.e. the center of the driver, not the enclosure)should be less than about two feet from the floor and both walls. The driver and any port on the sub shouldn't be so close to a surface that it doesn't have breathing room, say at least 3".
