just a quick question to those who have this sub. Where do you have it in relationship to your TV and other things that could be effected by the magnets in it? mine is about 6-7 ft from my TV to the side of it (between where I sit and the TV to the right) and about 10 ft from my computer.

I know its not shielded. I want to move it. and one had any luck with it say 3 fty from the Tv and 3 ft from a computer? I dont want to screw my new WEGA and my computer.

Thanks. This is a boooooming sub if anyone is interested in it. I love it. ITs so overkill for where I have it but it doesnt matter.

Also what speakers do ya have with that sub?

sorry for all the questions...Im just starting out in the home audio field

    Hi:

The best place, for me, on sub placement is to the right of my right main speaker.

The sub shouldn't affect the computer or the tv as long as it is two or three feet away. The magnet in the sub does not have a a strong enough field effect to reach out very far.

ok cool I had nightmares taht if I did it I would go to start my comp and nothing would be there or it would turn my TV purple or something..Im guessing it would be 3 feet away (computer) and like 3 ft for the TV as well

    Thanks !

I'm real paranoid about stuff like that, and so I always try to keep as much distance as is practical. I would imagine that the PSW1200 would have rather strong magnetic fields on the sides with the drivers. Three feet might be okay: If it's too close to the TV it should be easy to tell by the distorted colors, and I'd allow at least as much distance from the computer as from the TV.

I've got the PSW1200, and I use it with my RT800i fronts. It blends really well, and provides effortless bass. It's so large that it draws those "what-the-hell??" looks from guests, however.
