Hey...
I m going to Install sound system in my car for the fisrt time.. so got so many confusions..
I have right now:
> 2 Rockfordfosgate Punch 1694 speakers, 140 watts power each & 75 watts Rms each.. and 4 Ohm.
> 1 Rockfordfosgate P21S4 12" subwoofer.. 400 watts Peak and 200 watts rms, Single Voice coil, 4 or 8 ohm..
now my questions:
> Which Amplifier will be best for me, good performance, good sounding, i dnt want that loud just decent boomy bass..
by my Searching i can go either way;
By getting 4 Channel bridgeable Amp with 400 watts rms..
In this way,
>100 watts per channel, but my speakers need 75 rms each, so it ll harm my speaker ??
> and if i bridge remaining 2 channels to make it 1 channel for my sub, and then in this way 100+100 watts will be double by bridging if im not wrong by ohms law? so it ll be 400 watts rms for my sub ?? its tooo much confusing what to do ? or should i buy 350 watts rms 4 channel brigeable Amo?
OR
I should go for 2 different Amps..
1 Monoblock 200 watts rms for my subwwofer
1 two (2) channels 100 watts or 150 watts rms Amp for speakers ? i heard that there are Mini HIfi Amps available (700 watts peak power but dnt know there Rms value http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-700W-Mini-Hi-Fi-Stereo-Amplifier-Amp-mp3-iPod-Motorcycle-and-Car-/330779243089?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item4d03fab251) for my speakers.. which is only $19...
Plz guide me in this tricky situation, or may be this is tricky for me bcoz i m new in this... THanx in advance for good suggestion by which i can get good performance in low cost ..

If you want the easiest way then get a good 2 channel amp that makes 75-100 watts RMS per channel for the speakers and a 2 channel amp that makes 300-400 watts RMS at 4 ohms bridged.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

OK then first talk abt 1 Amp with 2 channels for my speakers mentioned above (2 Rockford fosgate Punch 1694 75x75 Rms)
so i found some cheaper and good Amps on ebay.. which one ll be perfect for these speakers, installation wise, cost versus performance wise...

>I liked this one.. because only $30.... then i ll have some money for another good amp

This one is better Amp than above mentioned... 100 watts x 2 Rms @ 4ohm... but my speakers need only 75 watts rms each.. so its 25 watts over there need.. its not gonna damage my speakers ???

I wouldnt touch those amps with a barge pole. Noise, lousy build quality, noise, low power and probably a lot of noise.
If you want a $30 amp, youre not going to like the results. Youre gonna have to cough up some more cash.
A 100 watt amp doesnt make 100 watts all the time. Its no different than a Corvette with 500 hp. You can drive it 160 mph or you can drive it 45 mph on your way to the grocery store. Same with an amp. A 100 watt amp wont blow 75 watt speakers unless youre way way way overdoing the volume.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

i ll have to buy another Amp too for subwoofer... so i think Speaker's Amp does nt have to be so Hi fi.. this 100 watts Rms is enought for speakers.. then i ll buy another better one Monoblock for Sub Only... isnt it good ?

Not sure what youre asking but basically, you need to be willing to spend a little more on amps. You dont have to run out and buy a $1200 Zapco amp for everything but Id look to spend $150-200 at least on each one.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
