I was at my local e store last night checking out these rti70(pair opened box) on sale for $179.00 each. It was one of the two pairs(the other pair is $230 each) that they've used for the show room. I did not have any interest on buying the speakers because of the fact that I just got the fxi30s and rti38s and also the wife will kill me:( .

They were in excellent condition except for two light scratches on the side (I could easily cover it with sharpies). The manager who sold me the fxi30 and 38 must have recognized me and asked me if I am willing to take them home for $200.00 out the door?

Seconds after, I was thinking of any valid reasons that I have not yet told the wife. I must convince her why these speakers by the way, were then resting at the backseat of my car, on our way home, were worth buying (not to mention the deal that I just got:D )

So say no more, I spent the whole night placing them up in the living room. Today, I calibrated and tested them together with the rest of their brothers. I was blown away with the result that heard. Wooohoooh!!! Gotta go back and play a couple more songs before the wife and the son come home:)

Pictures will be updated soon!

No further communication by master at midnight. I'd say his wife isn't happy, poor guy.

:D Don't raise that flag half way down just yet sodiers, the fallen man is back on his feet ( a little hurt, but will manage to fight on :) ). She loves the speakers. I guess she was disapointed when I sold the RTi100s but more relieved when she heard the 70s. So we're back in business fellas. I can't wait to show them to my families and friends for my son's 5th year birth day this Saturday.

Hehe, TheMaster gave her a good work out on purpose before bed to get some good quality time with the new member of the family;)

I used to be one of them, the normal people. Now they say to me "..man, you're sick. You need to see a doctor for that addiction"

After I bought my RTi70's and brought them home without the wife’s knowledge, I was in some trouble. She has wanted a nice digital camera........a day later I spent more money on a new digital camera than I did on my speakers!!!! Bottom line, it cost me $1,300 do get my RTi70's added to my setup. The wife is happy with her camera, I am happy with my home theatre, but the check book is not happy when that bill comes every month :( At least we got both on 12 months no interest at CC. Here is a picture of my fronts; taken with the new camera :) Since I took this picture she has added trees, plants, candles......

Yeah the WAF is always an issue. You have two options:

    (1) Buy a few chick flick movies and cd's, show how much better Julia Roberts sounds in DTS or 5.1 sound.

    (2) After she starts yelling just play some really loud Metalica, most likely not the best option.

Hey just thought of another option, compliment the way should looks one day - that is free :)

All in all I am just kidding around, the RTi70's are awesome, I love my speakers and my wife.

You need a name change. ESPECIALLY if "The Master" is going to give you grief about those speakers.
