Just got this home and works okay. Need to do some cleaning and tuning. Maybe check the belt as it starts a bit slow but then plays okay. Now the problem as always I may need a nice Phono-Pre or a nice Preamp with good phono stage.

Have this one on the local CL for $129.00 HAFLER DH-110

    Unusual fully automatic suspended subchassis tt from the same model line as the venerable GA-212 (and, slightly later, GA-312). The 406 isn't terribly common IME.

    Well some cleaning has been done, the plate runs a bit slow so a new belt is in order and will be here this week. But was able to listen to some Miles Davis and so far it sounds good and the cartridge is good given that is the original Philips but will be looking for options. Also got a BBE phono preamp for now as the TT is a few feet from the AVR.

    So far happy with the TT.

    I finally got it up and running new belt, good cleaning and new cartridge. After all settings were done correctly it sounds really good.
