I thought I would never say this, but Klipsch can and does mate with Polk very well when calibrated right...

Who has noticed this?

Here is the Klipsch speaker I have obtained.

Sorry to say this but I strongly disagree. On of my friends was trying to "show off" his Klipsch satellites by hooking them into my system. My ears were in some severe pain even after calibration.

Perhaps if you dropped one make of speakers far below the others it would be tolerable.

But hey, if you like it, props to you.

Yes, I agree with you in most cases. However it seems Klipsch, not using the traditional horn on the KV/KG series made them much smoother and laid back. I find my Polks are much brighter than this Klipsch speaker. Calibrated, it blends nicely.

It sounds very good considering it was free, also got an Adcom amp for free too....

My Week of free consist of.....

    Klipsch Center Channel
    Adcom GFA-535 II
    Pioneer CS-E9000 (Speakers)
    Pioneer SA-1280 (receiver)
    Yamaha Tuner
    Possibly a PIoneer Tuner...

Free always improves the sound of anything, no?

    Cheers!
