Was just looking at the CNET page and saw that the new Polk Audio Woodbourne is one of the finalists for the Best of CES. I hadn't heard of this before, it is a fairly high end Bluetooth, WiFi and Airplay speaker (about $600) that sounds like something I would like to check out.

    That thing is pretty.

    High WAF.

It will be nice to hear some reviews once they roll out in a few months.

I saw that earlier on their facebook page. Looks pretty slick. The also posted pictures of a new speaker, the TSX 500t. A new three way to maybe replace the TSi line?

I am anxious for a new setup in my bedroom so I hope the Woodbourne comes out earlier in the 2nd quarter rather than later. I also emailed Polk asking them to consider adding a black finish option. While the brown mahogany and white grill is beautiful, it limits the decor it can match.

I listened to the Sonos 3 and 5 (direct competitors) and while the technology (smartphone and computer integration) is awesome, I think the sound is awful. I am not an audiophile by any means but they need to stop having tech reviewers give Sonos such glowing reviews. Yes the tech is great; the sound is meh. I may still, however, consider getting the Sonos Amp depite the high cost for what it is and buy my own speaker setup.
