Help - Does the PSW110 do crossover?

I have an old AMP (McIntosh MC-2105) but there's no way to split the highs/lows. I have a NAD 1020 Preamp but it's kinda old too so there's no SUB output, just left/right.
I wanted to use the Sub's speaker-level inputs/outputs as a crossover but it's not working. My mains (Wharfdale Evo2-20's) are 'popping' when the Bass levels are up. I thought the sub's dial was a crossover. Is it only controlling the low frequencies to the sub and passing through the entire signal to the mains???
I don't know what to do to fix this, is there an external crossover I can use somewhere?
any help is appreciated.

You are correct. The pass-through is full frequency spectrum. The sub's crossover only effects the sub's output.
As to your second question, there are but to get a quality unit, you would spend as much if not more than simply updating to a more modern pre-amp. (Just my opinion but then I like to keep the number of components in the "chain" minimal.)"Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

i have an NAD 1020 as well and rather like it( pretty laid back and warm), but its not in my system right now. it's noisy and needs some work. i am actually using it as a headphone amp until i can afford a dedicated amp, and it doesn't sound horrible.
i agree with ZTFUL... you need a pre with 2 sets of outputs, and then you can run a set of RCA interconnects to the sub. or, i should say, this is what i have done and it works out just fine. it seems like better money spent.Polk Lsi9

There is a reason that the sub is labeled "low-pass". It is a low-pass filter, not a crossover.2.1: PC>Schiit Gungnir MB>Schiit Freya Noval>NAD C-270>Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1, HSU STF-2 5.1: HDMI Bitstream>Denon AVR-1910>polkaudio RTE55, CS350-LS, RT3, HSU STF-2, Visio M55-F0
