Vibration effects

My two channel system and home theater share the same space and to a degree the same rack. My Motorola DVR has/had developed a increasingly noticeable vibration. I tried isolating it as best I could.
I have not been pleased with the sound of my two channel rig and quite frankly did not want to listen to it as much as I used to.
I unplugged the DVR cable box and low and behold my two channel system sounds markedly better. The soundstage is larger and more defined, imaging is much sharper and instrument and vocal separation are more defined. I replaced the DVR with a non DVR cable box and I have now been enjoying my two channel system like I used to.

I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Yea, those DVR's operate with hard drives, being close probably introduced a lot of IM distortion to yer setup, when eliminated the other actives cleaned up and you noticed! The human ear is kinda neat, isn't it!
