I like these TTs a lot. Great bang for the buck in my opinion.
Super solid, and a nice damp platter IIRC. I might recommend a Denon DL-103r if you've got a nice SUT or pre-amp that can handle MC carts.
What questions do you have?design is where science and art break even. -

The Oracle is an excellent sounding turntable, in my quasi-humble opinion.

If it is in good condition, it is worth the price. You don't have to go MC cart on this TT MM is just fine, I just always recommend it if someone already has a nice SUT. You could look at even something like the Bellari vp-130 and the denon dl-160 MC cart, but is high output, so no SUT needed. Of course there are plenty of other options like the Ortofon blue, or mayb it will even come with a nice cart. anyways, I think you should look at perhaps finding a nice preamp with a phono section. Something like the Forte f-44 would be a nice pre that is on par with the turntable, and likely a nice match for your linns
these are just example suggestions, there are thousands of ways to skin this cat.design is where science and art break even. -

I had an Alexandria Mkii. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. The motor was too weak, the suspension is hard to setup and seemed to have some sag that couldn't be corrected, and above all, the stock tonearm is absolute junk. I replaced mine with an SME Series III, but overall, I was never really happy with the table. The Oracle Delphi is a much better design, but honestly, my simple VPI HW-19 mk2 wipes the floor with all but the newest Oracles (MkV or later). Heck, I think the Technics SL-1200 mk2 (or later) is a better table than the Alexandria when it comes down to it.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I would take bills experience over minedesign is where science and art break even.

I would not recommend a Dual however.
A shameles plug: I do have an Empire Troubador 598 wit all kinds of original goodies that is passively for sale here in the fleamarket. Probably $200 less than it should be, but never the less, it is there so I would honor the pricedesign is where science and art break even. -
Well after finding out that he wanted $500.00 for the TT is too much for my first TT. I will be looking tomorrow at a MCS-6700 that I can get for about $40.00 and that will be good to start and then see if I can stop........yeah right.....HTAVR-Pioneer SC99XPA-DR3 Differential Reference AmpPolk R-700Rear- RT150Side- RT150Center-CSi5Sub-Rythmik audio F25Player- Panasonic DP-UB9000Projector- Optoma CinemaX P2Screen- Silver Ticket Products STR Series 6 120"Audio Room 2ch rig.Cary AE-3, Onkyo M-504, Marantz SA8005, Azur 851NWharfedale - Linton, SVS SB12-NSDMinis Forum PC (streamer) and Panamax MX5105Headphone rig;Schiit JOTUNHEIM and different headphones.Samsung 42" flat screen TV.
