I have heard valentias and like them. What's a fair price for a pair in good condition? He is asking $800

depending on condition, I'd say 800 to 1200 is not outta line for the "A" (16 ohm) version of the Valencias - they're more desirable from the fanboy perspective due to the drivers used :-)

Mine were a kilobuck (missing one latticework grille) about six years ago, FWIW.

Thanks mrh, I am hoping to get by there tomorrow. Wife had foot surgery today I am tending to her.

The grills and outside frame look different than most of the Valencias I have seen.

They appear to be very early A models... I've never seen any like them. They may (?) be quite uncommon.
Might be worth perusing information and the forums at www.lansingheritage.org

mrh, the mid century cabinet is a no go for me. Not sure what that is but I can not find a picture with that style of cabinet and saw other As with lower serial number.

I am thinking they pieced together into another cabinet.
