No, they would look AMAZING in MY house!"Everything I ever did in my life worthwhile I caught hell for"
-
and they would sound amazing

I used to own a pair and the do sound pretty darn good. Not a bad price. Too bad they are missing the foam over the ribbons but I'd take em they was they are. If I ever see a pair locally again I'm liable to snag em if at a reasonable price. Circuit City sold those at one time and cleared them out at a grand a pair.

They could look good, just think about the types of art people put in their house large abstract items.
-
I couldn't get them in my house, dang they are tall!
-
They are only about 5ft tall, and really don't look that big in a room because they are only about 1ft wide. Nice speakers, but you have to like the directional nature of ribbons, even though they do have a huge sound.

5ft? that's not bad....that's almost same size as AR9 I have...Video: LG 55LN5100/Samsung LNT4065F

Yeah, these really are not that much wider than LSi 15's IMHO. I would love to own a pair of these, and they are MUCH smaller than the Amazings width wise."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I'm pretty sure they are very close to 6 ft. tall if memory serves me right. The other ribbon speakers I had were 6 1/2 ft. You can see them next to each other here:

You are right, 72.5" or 6ft. I guess they just felt smaller in my living room when I had a pair...
-
They did make a shorter pair. Darned if I can remember the model number.

Or maybe someone took a saw to yours?

My memory is **** with me . It's the Newform Research speakers that had a shorter version. Sorry for the mis info. Yep, they are some good looking speakers.
-
That was a custom pair (1 of 2) made in the Carver shop before it closed, but the customization was to extend the woofer box all the way up the back of the ribbon for better bass response. The customization did not change the ribbon, except enclosing the back of it to accommodate for the larger woofer enclosure. They were fun speakers to listen to, but I couldn't get over the directional nature of those ribbon, so they didn't last for long.
It also doesn't help that I'm over 6ft tall, so speakers seem littler small to me than other people; especially my wife... -
Here are some here in the Bay Area for sale.

That is a little on the high end. Not so sure the infinity subwoofer is an actual upgrade. He doesn't list exactly what speaker it is.
Some one might buy it if they want it bad enough.
