So, any goals or resolutions for the new year?

How bout it?

My only goal for 2013 is to continue the healthy lifestyle I adopted last year. I see the potential for a new higher end bicycle in my future so there's nothing a/v related right now.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Hello, Riverrat. My goals are all audio related. I will personally be making a conscious effort to roll some more valves in my preamplifier and CDP. Not that I haven't done so in the past year but I will step it up a notch or ten. Come this February, I will be gutting my Tyler Acoustics Linbrook Signature Reference loudspeakers and going external with the crossover and upgrading everything within the crossover, then going even further by tweaking the speakers as much as I possibly can. I have already lined up a really nice new TT cartridge, a new phono pre and I will also be doubling my LP collection through a rather nice gear swap with a friend. The last goal I will have for this year is to start looking [finally] into DAC options for the rig.

I would say buy more music but I think that's a given with me. I am, however, going to try to stick with more of the highest quality recordings the industry has to offer instead of the generic RB and LP's. I do have a feeling that many of my musical purchases will be more vinyl this year than digital but we'll see how that goes as time marches on.

Well my New Years goal was already accomplished...

It was to get more TUBES in my life and on its way is a tube amp for my home office setup. I also have a feeler out on a tube headphone amp for the home office as well (totally separate from my office computer/headphone amp/dac setup).

So I am hoping to get the tubes in and start going down that rabbit hole.

The other resolution is to do my best to be a super dad (come February). Thats going to be the harder resolution to keep

Yikes! As a technician myself I would never want that job. That being said I am also trying to get away from turning wrenches with a degree in computer programming. Good luck with the service writer position though, some people are better suited than others to do that.

Do you ride Mountain or road? I ride Mountain. Just got a new bike last year for almost free due to a warranty on a frame breakage. Gary Fisher upgraded me from a 2005 cake 2 dlx to a 2010 Roscoe 3. It was such a night and day difference. I hope my frame breaks every 4-5 years :)

    Goals....that's a big word.
I am almost complete with a complete house remodel since purchased 3 years ago. The clock is ticking now with a +1 on the way and the most important rooms to complete. Kitchen/Dining and Bathroom. It's go time!!!

There will be no audio related purchases this year. Only working with what i got for now. (unless i can swap out some speaks)
Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

I'm a road guy just getting back into riding after a 13 yr layoff. I'm upgrading my old mid 80's Team Fuji right now, and if I ride as much as my wife expects I will, I can see a carbon or titanium framed something in my future. I do have an old Trek 850 steel framed mtn bike that spends most of the time on bike paths.

As for the a/v stuff, I did forget I'm planning on setting up a bedroom rig with some tsi300's and some old Kenwood separates I have laying around.

My main goal is to get back into photography after having barely touched my camera in about a year. I've always been a huge fan of sports photography and decided to jump back into it full steam ahead. Got my new domain name registered...www.strongsportsphotos.com. The website is not up and running yet, but will be sometime this month. Even got a new camera.

Sorry guys, no more stripper photos. Been done with those mindless zombies for a few years and have no desire to deal with them ever again!
    No excuses!

Yes, a few. My first is to stop buying audio gear.

Mine is the opposite. Time to tweak the two channel, and improve the HT/multi-channel system. Tuesday I am getting a 20 amp line for each system, plus I ordered a Sony XA5400ES SACD PLAYER, and NAD T 187 pre/pro for the HT. Once this is all working then a Bryston BDP1 digital file player is going into the multi-channel system.

After that I have 10 months to think of next year's resolution.

Oh, I might go to the gym more, cut back on the beer, work harder, and be nicer. Nah!

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.

Congrats on the little one. That was fast! I waited 5 years before my 1st.

My goal this year is to lose 20-30 lbs. Second is to simply spend more time with the family. Only went fishing with the kids one time lasr year.
