Newb Question

I will be connecting an Emotiva XPA 5 amp to a Denon 3313 Ci receiver. I will be powering all channels except the 2 rear speakers in a 7.1 setup through the Emotiva. The Denon will drive the two rear speakers. My question is: Is there only one RCA cable for each speaker from the receiver to the amp? I now this is rudimentary for all of you but I'm trying to get this right before the equipment arrives and I am a complete newb at this. Thanks for the help!

Also is there only one end on the cable for the amp and the receiver? Can you recommend some good RCA cable...?

Each channel will only need one RCA cable from teh Denon to the Emo.
As far as "good"RCA cables it depends on budget and desire.
You want to pay $10 each? $100 each? $1,000 each?

Thanks brgman. I guess I want the most for my money. Not spending $1,000. I've read some who swear by the most expensive cabling and some who swear it doesn't matter as long as it meets industry standards. As stated, I am a complete newb but it seems logical to me that as long as RCA cables have been out they should have about the same performance. As long as they're in good condition etc. I am a complete newb though... Someone suggested Blue Jeans cable...

For your needs, the inexpensive cables are fine. The more expensive cables are for after you develop an ear for nuances, and want to try and extract every bit of music from the source. Some people never develop the ability to hear nuances so they try and convince others those nuances do not exist. Pay no attention to those people behind the curtain. Before getting better cable you will be upgrading your gear first. Then you can start to worry about cables, power cords, vibration elimination, etc.

Valkyrie, a coaxial cable with an RCA plug on each end is used. For several years I've used these cables in various lengths. They do this very simple job as well as it can be done and there's no good reason to pay more.

Spend a little more money and buy something like Signal Cable Analog 1 or 2's, or Audioquest Sidewinders.
