Wall Mounting R55i

Can anyone help? I am looking to wall mount the R55i bookshelf speakers due to lack of space.

I was going to use omnimount 100 series (rated for up to 55 lbs.) mounts. The R55i weigh 33 lbs each, so i now the support will handle it.

My question is - what is the best way to attach the mount to the speakers, what kinds of screws to use, how thick is the wood casing, etc. Is there a better way to mount them?

Any help would be REALLY appreciated.

Gosh.... I'd hate to drill, or screw anything to my speakers. Is there any way you can mount a shelf on the wall and then set the speakers on it? You'd have to have quite a deep shelf.

I believe the back and sides of the enclosure are 1" MDF, or maybe 3/4". I'd say the only logical place to attach a mount to the speaker would be the bottom, but that's just my guess. I'd suggest seeking the advise of Polk Customer Service, before you try something like that. I believe the number to call is:

Hi partymeister, just got the RT55i's a few days ago... I'm interested in wall-mounting them as well. Any comments/tips/suggestions from your experience?
