I bought a pair of speakers with one 10 inch, 6 1/2, and tweeters. When I took out the 10s they had 4/6/84 written on the back but had no magnets. It looks as if none were ever attached. Any ideas?

Thank you. I am new to these type of speakers. One of the tweeters is missing, it is a silver rectangle. Are these available?

It doesn't look like those. It is all silver on the front with a black line coming from the center on both side at a 45 degree angle towards the bottom left and right corners. I can post a pic tomorrow. The large and medium speaker both have 1984 on the back and the Polk audio emblem is on the lower right of the cabinet, not on the grills.

Silver rectangle with black lines coming out from the center at 45 deg... Sounds like the SL-1000 tweeter. With that tweeter and a 10" PR, I am guessing your speakers are Monitor 7A or 7B.

Thanks, I found these in the basement of an antique store for 10$. Didn't get to hear them before hand so I was glad that they worked with the exception of the tweeter.
