Wyred 4 Sound DAC 1 24-bit 96kHz Asynchronous USB input and upgraded DAC 2 super caps

This Dac has been upgraded to perform identically to the DAC2.

The Usb input is Asynch 24/96. The caps have been upgraded to those in the Dac2 --W4S low ESR "super-cap" (same as used in the STP-SE) 88,000uF of filtering

The new caps are not fully burned in. Bought in June 2012, then sent back to W4S for the upgrade in July 2012.

The only difference between this Dac1 and the Dac 2 is this dac doesn't have the built in pre-amplifier. Every thing else is identical.

This unit was in the bedroom and didn't get much use.

    I have a projector I will be letting go that I just bought and a nice screen. The projector is 3d but the resolution is not 1080 its 1200 by 800 mainly for pc gaming. I don't know if your into that sort of thing though ? The pj is the optoma 750 and its a short throw with 3000 lumens dlp

    I also have an anthem avm40 with arc but its a little higher priced than the dac1

    I have the DAC 2 and in reality the DAC 1 is all I needed. With the upgrades to the DAC 1 this is a bargain and a fantastic sounding DAC.

    Actually, I'm selling off the equipment I had in my bedroom rig as it is not being used at all. My wife watches TV in the bedroom, so I am going to upgrade the main rig and sell bedroom equip. to defray the cost. I have a Dac2 in the main rig and will keep that. I got the Dac 1 after falling in love with the Dac 2, but already had a Dared pre- up there, so I didn't need the built in pre on the Dac2.

    I am also selling my bedroom speakers Lsi7 with modded (sonic cap) crossovers. Haven't had the heart to post them in the flea market cause, I really don't want to sell any of this gear. Just can't justify keeping it all

    Probably will as for $385 the cherry cabs look new and the Sonic Caps are barely burn-ed in !
