are SDA 2 speakers 4 OHM or 6 OHM ?

Are Polk SDA 2 speakers rated at 4 OHM or 6 OHMs?
I thought they were 4 OHM speakers but recently heard someone mention that they are 6 OHM speakers.

I am getting a pair of SDA 2s and just want to make sure my Yamaha CR 2020 receiver will not have a problem powering the Polk SDA 2s. I currently have my CR 2020 running a set of Polk 10A speakers, which are 6 OHM speakers (later Monitor 10 series were 8 OHM but the Monitor 10A were 6 OHM) and the receiver does a wonderful job with them.

Please let me know if the SDA 2s are 4 OHM or 6 OHM?
And please let me know if you think my Yamaha CR 2020 will have any problem running the SDA 2 speakers.

There is a lot of differences between the 2A and the 2B.
One of them was to make the newer model more amplifier friendly by
bumping up the resistance to 6 ohms improve power handling so that you
didn't have to buy a $5000 amp to enjoy them, let's face it Polk was trying
to sell products to people that could afford them.

I just bought a pair of 2B,s yesterday and got the original intsruction manual with them .according to it they are 6 ohm .

This is the 2nd pair of polks I have owned I had a pair of monitor 10,s a while back which I ran off a marantz 2250B with no problem and sounded very good . I have the SDA 2B,s running off a pioneer SX 1280 right now, 185 old school watts which I thought would be lots to drive these speakers but they seem to be sucking the power right out of this receiver .I previously had a pair of cerwin vega AT 15,s running off the same receiver at 4 ohms with no problem .so what gives here what does it take to drive these speakers

CVs are supposed to be very efficient IIRC, don't think that that's been said of the SDAs.

yes your right, I was told this before I bought them .But I just had to try them anyway,s alway,s experimenting with speakers it,s a hobby .

A good integrated or separates. Receivers are....well, just receivers.

actually the more I listen to these speakers the more I like them, now I will have to look for a good power amp ,but the 1280 will have to do for now .
