So if you had a choice of the following SDA's, what order would you put them in for sound quality for mainly HT, but a growing percentage of 2 channel? Are the prices reasonable? All speakers are fully original and in very good condition.
2B - $300, no IC
1A - $400, IC included
2.3 - $700, IC?
2.3tl - $800, IC?
2B - $300, no IC
1A - $400, IC included
2.3 - $700, IC?
2.3tl - $800, IC?

2.3TL about right for both 2.3's
2.3
2B about going price maybe a little high
1A 200$ too much IMO -
I'd say the determination of which speaker kinda depends on how big an area they will be set-up in. Smaller area=2B's Larger area=2.3TL's
The 2.3's need some room to breathe, to sound their best
Fair prices on all, but I would also pass on the 1A's. -
If you have a large enough listening area get the 2.3tl's
If your room is too small wait until you find some 3.1tl's, they are perfect for a smallish room. -
Love all the SDA's I have owned and heard, and they are worth what you are willing to pay, as spending any of the dollar amts mentioned is a nothing compared to the satisfaction any of those babies will give you!"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

I went to see/audition the SDA 2.3TL's this afternoon. First off, although I knew these were big speakers, I really didn't realize just how big until I met them in person. The "antique" shop didn't have a decent system to demo them with, but we connected an old behemoth receiver to it. The speakers still shined. They are all original with all cloth in excellent shape, even the side panel cloth. There is no interconnect cable and the end caps have just a few faint scratches. I included some pics below. Are these really 2.3TL's? Is the value still good at $800? Thanks

That picture is the 2.3's not the 2.3TLS.
If you get anything get the 2B or the 2.3TLS.
Unless you just do not have the money then get the 2.3 for $600.
Don't worry about the IC cable it's easy to make one, but use it for price negotiations.
Please download and read the SDA Handbook.

PolkieMan is right, those are the 2.3 with the "donut" drivers, the 2.3TL mid-drivers all look the same. I always thought the Polk Model numbers on the back of the 2.3's was a little misleading, not to be confused with the SDS SRS 2's as in the attachment.

Yes, those are RDO-198's. They sound very good, I picked them up this past Summer from a long-time C.P. member Stubby. -
Mine are a better deal!
