PSW 10 auto on/off not working properly

Just purchased the PSW10 and have added to my system. I've found that the auto on/off toggle switch doesn't seem to function properly. When left in the center position, auto, the indicator light remains green after the receiver is turned off. If I switch to "on" and then back to "auto" it goes red. Would any shortening of life occur if I left the sub on 24/7? as it is a hassle to turn it on and off each time we use the system.

How long have you waited after the receiver turning off the receiver. I believe my DSWpros take about 15 minutes.

feeling dumb here, just noticed the 15min wait time in the manual. I will ask another question though. I currently am using a single rca cable from the single sub out from the denon rcvr to the L ch. in. Should I get a splitter to input to both L&R ch. ?

I believe with that speaker you can do it either way. I don't have that particular sub so not sure if it makes any difference in the sound. Maybe someone that has one can chime in.
