Ineed your guys opinions. I need a four chanel amp to power one set of MM6 (150rms 6.5 components) and one set of MMC690 (100rms 6x9 coax). Here's a few of the amps i'm considering:

Ya gotta go with the Precision Power amp. They are awesome. Their specs are some of the best on the market. .02% THD, 110+ SNR, 500+ damping! Hell yeah! They are extremely clean and accurate as well as being virtually bulletproof. As far as SQ goes, I would consider them to be the top of the line with Xtant a close 2nd.
My 2nd choice from your list would be the Alpine. The V12 series is also a very hi end amp and super clean. This is also a SQ amp.Testing

i may be able to get my hands on one of 2 McIntosh amps. I've heard that these are some of the best amps made, Are they as good as they are put out to be? MC440 6ch 100w x 2 50w x 4. or MC420 4ch 50x4 are what i have available. Would it be worth the effort to get one of these instead?-Joe

I'd get two 2 ch amps and have one of them be the US Amps TU-600 for your mm6's give ya 150rms of tube power *grunts* then take your pick for the coax, the mm6's will probably be doing the vast majority of your sound reproducion...Hemi: (HEM -e) adj. Mopar in type, V8, hot tempered, native to the United States, carnivorous, eats primarily Mustangs, Camaros, and Corvettes. Also enjoys smoking a good import now and then to relax.

The PPI is a nice amp, I'd go with that if you can get it for 500 or less. That Nakamichi isn't all it's cracked up to be. They have nice head units and CD players but amps and speakers are not all the impressive from them. As far as the McIntosh amps go, I haven't heard any of the new stuff from them. The old stuff was OK IMO. I though they sounded almost surgical. Very accurate and clear but not very musical. If you can get it though, they are very nice amps, they just didn't appeal to me.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

The 480 will give you all the pwer you need and save you a couple hundred $$$. PPI is a tad underrated so that 4x80 is probably more like 4x90 or so. I doubt youll need more.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

old db components? -- i dont see why they couldn't do 200 x 2 if they are crossed over at around 70 to 80 hertz or so.
i slam around 200 onto dx's... the db's were better... so u see my point.
