They are probably much better. The early RTi lines are still excellent speakers.

You have to consider more than age such as; cabinet and overall build quality, crossover components and design, frequency response, quality of drivers/tweeter, sensitivity, etc.

I heard new Rti* speakers versus new Tsi* speakers. Rti was much better. But is the old Rti better than new Tsi?
