Here she is my problematic Yota. She runs like a bat out of hell, other than a couple of headgaskets and other coolant issues she still runs. Not bad for a 92 with 79,000 miles on her mostly, used for camping and hunting trips, yep the gas milage sucks but the pre Tacomas were the best especially with the 4 clyinder. None the less shes still my baby:cheesygrin:

Oh, Iowa in the winter, how I don't miss her! Kick **** truck, I'm sure it rules the snow. You can't stop those little Toyotas. I'm surprised its not rotted out, hard to find a clean one. You KNOW Pepster is jealous.

Sweet ride! Love Toyota trucks. I've had 3 so far including my current '10 Tacoma Doublecab 4x4.

Sweet, love those trucks. My brother has a 91 with over 200K miles on it. I am pretty sure he has never changed the oil on it either lol.

We took it wheeling with some of our friends with Jeeps. It went everywhere the jeeps went, but came back missing some fender flares and with a big dent in the side from bouncing off a stump oops!
(sorry they are black and white, I was using film camera at the time and forgot I had the wrong kind in)

I miss my '99 Tacoma, yours really reminds me of mine, gudnoyez. It was black, 4x4, extended cab with a cap also. Toyota ended up buying it back 'cause the frame was rusted. I made out great monetarily, but I really wish I still had it.

Nice truck! I have a couple of friends with that vintage of Toyota trucks they use for hunting and other chores, and they just don't die. There's a great story in the HBR from years ago about the revolt by Toyota dealers because of the reliability of the Toyota vehicles and they forced Toyota to revise the tolerances and other vehicle specifications so there was an acceptable amount of warranty and service work.

I'm at my farm south of Ames IA and it looks like we may get some sunshine today!
