I am trying to put together the pieces of my new home theater and am having some trouble deciding the surrounds for my 7.1 set up. Admittedly I am a relative newb and want to make an informed decision. I will list the components of my set up and would truly appreciate any help on the surrounds anyone may be willing to give. Here is the room and my HT components so far:
Room is 23' 5" x 14' 5" by 8'
Receiver - Denon AVR 3313 CL
Amp - Emotiva XPA 5
Fronts - Polk Audio RTi A9
Center - Polk Audio CSi A6
Sub - SVS PB12 NSD
BluRay - OPPO BDP-103
I am wondering if I should go with all four surrounds as F/Xi A6's or F/Xi A6's for the sides and RTi A3's for the rear?
I plan to run the A9's through the Emotiva and the rest through the receiver... Any help / suggestions appreciated.

I would go for FXiA6's for surrounds and the A3's for direct sound as surround backs.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -
I agree A6 for surroounds and A3 for rear. That's what I have in a room just a little wider and longer than your's and it sounds pretty good to meHome Theater
