I thought I'd share with all of you a little blog I've been compiling so I don't forget about all the speakers and receivers I find and enjoy. It's mostly for me to keep my own log but I hope some of you enjoy it too:

Nicely done G. Do you have an absolute favorite on the speaker/receiver end??"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Out of all the speakers I've had in and out of my house (and my blog only covers about half of them) I've always had a set of Polk Monitor 7s up somewhere, so I guess they have to rate as my favorite. That said, I love my Klipsh KG4s and I think that the Boston A200s may be better than them all, but I haven't had enough time to really enjoy them.
On the receiver end the Pioneer SX-9000 had the real honest vintage sound. I really like the clean power that my Pioneer VSX-820 and Harman 3380 put out - they push a lot of detail and really help speakers show what they can do.HT System:

Nice Blog George!
I am thinking of doing the crossovers in my KG4s. What do you think??I got static in my head
The reflected sound of everything -
Well, they sound awesome as-is, right?
So you should totally re-do them! That should be the Polk Forum mantra!!!
I'm in the same boat. I love my KG4s, love the sound, but online folks rave about how easy and appreciable the upgrades are. I think that if you have the time and are willing to invest a little in the KG4s you should upgrade. Bob Crites sells crossover kits and complete crossovers - I think the kits are like $60 a pair and the completed crossovers are maybe double. Some day I will get around to it myself. Right now the KG4s are in my living room and sound good there. And the acoustics in that room and the use the KG4s get really don't warrant additional investment until I move them to the basement.Nice Blog George!

I cannot identify with such a thing at all ;-)
In all seriousness... thanks - I'll peruse your blog. -
I enjoyed the stroll through your memory hole, nicely done.

Excellent, I bet you wish you could have kept the SX1250.

Oh I still have the 1250. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. I'm going to clean up the faceplate, knobs and switches and wipe the dust out of the inside, and start it up on a variac. if everything works on it I will enjoy it until I pull enough money together to pay for a full restoration - there is a good guy not far from where I live here in MD that can help me here.ErasmusBDragon wrote: »Excellent, I bet you wish you could have kept the SX1250.HT System:
