Hi All,
I have a pair of Monitor 7's that I have loved for may years. I think I bought them back in the 70's. I had an issue with the midrange portion of one of the crossovers so I decided to rebuild both of them. After some homework and replacing all the caps and resistors in both with audio grade components they sound just as amazing as they did the day I first got em. However I have a question that bothers me. The dampening material used inside the speaker cabinets (a type of foamy batting) is just rolled up and stuffed in randomly landing where it may. I understand the function of the material but should it not be mounted to the insides of the loaudspeaker cabinet in some uniform fashion rather than just rolled up and stuffed in there ? I think the speakers sound just fine but it still bugs me knowing that the insides are just... stuffed.

Thanks for any comment

Rolled up and stuffed in your speakers is just how Polk intended it to be.
