Degrees at the moment, 3 inches of snow on the ground.
I am debating whether I am going swimming tomorrow.

Probably put my speaker cables outside tonight as it is supposed to be 8 to 10 degrees for the low tonight.
Can't beat a free cryo treatment!
If my Hugh Hefner silk pajamas weren't so warm, I would be a little worried.

How cold you got it?

16" on its way. The first REAL winter storm of the North Eastern season! Just went out for supplies. Figure we're not going anywhere for the next two days! The only question is; will we LOSE POWER? Always a possibility up in Maine. Should invest in a generator as I've been outed so many times! Oh well. All the computers are charged so that's a days worth of movies at least! And some self-generating flashlights ought to be good for some reading with a few cranks every half hour or so, or we can just go to candle power for that!

Hopefully, though, the power stays on.

SNOW! Can't NOT have it up here. But I'm getting old enough to "loathe" it! The mess, the salt, the black ice, the lack of any "melting" for months and months, etc., etc. Oh, and the small fortune in plowing fees on top of the ridiculously high priced heating oil (total waste of energy--extremely ancient and inefficient form of heating--no gas lines up this far!).

And you've got to LOVE it when your plow guy has just cleaned your driveway and the city trucks slop another two feet at the foot of it. So time to shovel extremely WET and icy snow on the driveway and die of a heart attack in the process. Ah, winter! How can a middle-aged man NOT LOVE THAT?? It's the most "glorious" time of the year! lol Just whose idea was it that "humans" (who evolved on the African plains) could live in an Eternal Cold White North? Not mine!

    Can you say S.A.D.?

It's NICE here in San Diego today. We've been getting a bit of weather making for a nice holiday feel. When I say a bit of weather, I mean 65 degrees during the day with a few showers on and off :D The wife and I went to Julian (1 hour away, 5000 ft up) looking for snow and none dropped yet! Bummer.

Went back to Cali about 8 years ago, laid on the beach (Long Beach), sunbathing and could see mountains with snow on top.
    Crazy place Cali!
Catalina Island, San Pedro, god I miss that.
    Best food ever!
"Old Town" SD, best Mexican food I ever put in my mouth.

Cali would be #2 of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
Mexico would have to be the #1 IMHO!
Having traveled it extensively, its just unreal, as far as beauty goes, just never seen anything like it.
