It works excellent and sounds very good except one issue.
It needs a push to close the tray. May be fixable but I have not opened it to check anything.
No major scratches or dings.
Comes with a remote that is missing back battery cover but works.
$20 + shipping PP gift or USPS MO.
I'll take few pics if there is interest.

9,999 out of 10,000 older Yamaha CD players (single disc players as well as changers) have a small square (in cross section, that is) rubber belt that hardens and stretches, causing leisurely (or completely dysfunctional) drawer opening/closing. It is easy to access and replace.
Could be something else up with it... but that is the most likely etiology.
Cheap blighter that I am, I have a can full of small rubber bands that serve as excellent (albeit ghetto) short-term repairs ;-) -- and replacement belts are readily available from PartsExpress and/or MCM.
If the seller or the ultimate buyer needs more info - send me a PM.
EDIT: Here's a cousin thereof in its repaired state FWIW...

Thanks for info mrh.
It opens fine but just spins when closing until it gets a gentle push.
This player is in my bedroom system playing almost every other day.

I actually have one of those as well, the CDC-655 that has the same problem needs a gentle push.
I have the belt for it but have never gotten around to doing it..
