This is my regular cassette player.
It still has old belt and plays fine but replacing belt is recommended as the playback will improve with new/tight belt compared to old/loose one.
Very good cosmetically and works great except one thing mentioned below.
I noticed few times in last 6 months that when I pressed REW it fast forwarded but after I stop it, it works as what's pressed.
It only did that couple of times.
It's beautiful piece to look at with silver face and knobs.
All lights including meter lights work.
I recently got shorter deck that goes in my stand better than this tall deck so up for grab.

$60 + shipping, PP gift or USPS money order.

Those old tape decks look so "cool" I don't care what they sound like (actually, they're not bad, I have a TOTL Realistic made by Hitachi around here somewhere).

    Have fun T-man!

Thanks cnh. I grew up watching those needles dance while dad was playing his tunes. He still has the ESS AMT1a's in storage. Gave him the Tandberg 1040 integrated rcvr for Christmas. All I lack now to bring back his late system (he had to sell off due to divorce) is to find someone to fix the B & O 4200 turntable. Has a nice cart in good shape still on it (thankfully since soundsmith is the only one's retipping these carts $$$), but the tonearm is canted to the left where it and the guide arm should be straight.

It's a linear tracker and he thinks he locked it up when put in storage but we can't find a release anywhere. Still hunting ebay for a manual. I think it got bent by something else or maybe it's the arm drive belt that has disintegrated and cause the arm to skew to the side.

Dropped it off at USPS today.
I didn't realize this bugger is this heavy until I started packing.
It's around 28 lbs and packing weight is over 33 lbs so pretty expensive shipping. :surprised:
What the hell they have inside?
I have 5 or 6 cassette decks and this one alone weighs equal to all of them.

    Travis,

It arrived safe yesterday. Hooked it up last night and listened to a few tapes while watching the football game. After a coulple runs thru with a tape head cleaner tape it sounded alot better. Still struggles a little at very beginning of most tapes, but like you stated it could use a new belt and all would be well. Packaged well and a pleasure doing business with you. Thanks for a clean transaction. I am sure my dad will be quite happy to see it again.
