I am blessed to be with my family today, the best Christmas gift possible, sadly my brother in law lays in the hospital, victim of the senseless evil that has become more prevelent in this country than I can remember. He was one of the four fireman first to arrive at the scene in the next town from me, Webster,NY. Thank god the jerk who tried to ambush him couldn't see him in the dark morning hour, firing random shots as he lay wounded under his fire truck. We pray for him, his family, and especially to the men who lost their lives trying to save others. Needless to say it was a somber eve of Christmas. Cherish your loved ones my brothers, celebrate this day with all your heart!

    My prayers go out to your family in addition to the others who were there. I saw this on the news yesterday; although it makes me sad and angry, I'm no longer shocked by it. What I want to know is when something is going to finally be done and we all say enough is enough...

    Prayers to him and all of you, and as you said, all the men and women who step up when courage and strength are required.

    Im hoping the people will tire of the real life violence and disrespect in everyday life,glorified by the media, and hard drugs are no longer looked at as party materials, it all goes hand in hand.

    I can never put into words what i know in my heart when it comes to these matters.

    I just know what has changed from my childhood to now, from the living room to the movie theater to the classroom and the pulpits.
