Parasound / Arcam v. Adcom

Interested in Michael's Parasound / Arcam combo. Would have to sell my Adcom stuff to do it. Putting out a feeler on a GFA-555 and GFP-565. Price? Is this an upgrade worth 150-175 dollar difference?

    The GFA-555 is worth about $450 if in fine condition, the GFP-565 maybe around $200(?).

    The Arcam component is excellent, don't know the Parasound.

    Thanks. Was about what I was thinking. Parasound gets a lot of love around here. Never heard one either.

    thanks. Not the same amp though. Says 100wpc. The 555 is 200wpc

    I've been thinking about that Parasound myself. If its still around after the holidays and I don't find another adcom I might get it read some decent reviews on that 1200. I got one more pair of CRS+s that need a amp. What condition is yor 555 in?

    Pretty good shape, 7.5 out of 10 i would guess. Has a new power switch, but is missing one of the rubber feet. No biggie really.

    The pre is in great shape. Easily an 8.5 out of 10. Dead quiet phono stage and has output flexibility, depending on your tastes. I am not in a hurry to sell it, but I do a lot of 2 ch listening and like the idea of having a remote for a pre. No experience with Arcam, but plenty of good reviews. You are in Dayton? I am in W.C.     Maybe after the holiday rush we can get together, I would like to hear it. I'm running an Adcom gtp500 now, and really enjoy having a remote, but really would like to try something different.

    That's my next Amp!It is one sweet amp has killer specs and built.Soon real soon it will be in my audio/video rack my Parasound 2100 will be in by the end of this week.
