New Total Recall playback issues

I was about to rip my receiver out and throw it against the wall until I realized that it is the encoding on the disk that was causing it. Seems that there is something wrong with the HD track that causes nasty audio cut outs and makes it pretty much unwatchable. I tried updating bdp firmware, spacing everything out with wood blocks, putting a fan on everything, wiggling cables. Finally I tried a different bluray and everything is working fine.

If you change to a non-HD format the movie is watchable again.

Just FYI for everyone

Switching the bdp to pcm mode also works. Highly annoying though.

I watched it last night too and it caused me to give up watching it because of audio dropouts. It took place when he was playing the piano...

Well, I had no dropouts, but the audio was delayed by about a second.... it was like watching an old Chinese Kung Fu movie...

Had same issue with Redbox BR. Audio delay horrible, no drop outs. Maxed my Onkyo's A/V sync to 250ms and still way off. First time I've had this type of error with playback.

I had issues with this disk also I used PCM and that fixed the problem however the sound seemed very muffled/veiled but it let me see the movie.
