I'm considering purchasing a Kicker KX3 for the subsonic feature because my amplifier didn't have one and I just cant afford a full-fledged does-it-all crossover/EQ. It says its cutoff freq is 25hz with a 24db/octave slope. I've heard that you want to cut off the frequency soon after the tuned frequency of the ported box. Well the design for my sub has a port tuned for 35hz.

Thats the link to the specs. Anyways, I'm giving it 320wrms (or so says my amp) so 160 a coil. Do you think this will do any damage to the sub having the subsonic filter not cutting off anything till 25hz? Thanks
