he said the grills are "glued on"? I dont remember Polk making a speaker with grills not being able to come off. He wrote them as:

The grill's are permanently attached. I believe they have a sub and maybe a midrange on one side, and then a mid-range and tweeter on the front side.

Doesn't sound like any Polk I have heard of.

FYI, the original 'R' series had non-removeable grilles.

In the first picture, it looks as though one grille is allready falling off....or removeable....does anyone else see that? The back side, of the left speaker.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

All Polks I've ever seen have the model and serial # on the back near the posts.

dunno... makes no sense that front and rear grills would both be glued does it? how would drivers be accessed?

what does the badge read? lower right of right speaker in first pic?
    More later,

These are Polk Model 9 circa 1974. Meant to be corner-loaded. Predecessor of the venerable Model 7a. Could be with Piezo or with Audax 1" dome tweeters. We made both. Can't tell with the grilles on.
