I've been going on a crazy spending spree lately.........like a fellow member posted, sometimes I just want to punch myself in the face to knock some sense into myself (LMAO). Anyway, I have way too much gear and need to share my toys. So therefore, I am selling a pair of CRS+ with the black ash veneer cabinets and cross over mod by V3r. Purchased from a fellow polkie a couple months ago. I did install SL2000 tweets back into them however, so I am asking $195 pick-up only

Thanks. Unfortunately that is quite a hike from me - probably a good 5 hour drive at least.

I'm really starting to hate this damn hobby!!!!!!!!!! I decided to get one last listen to these speakers before a buyer came calling. I switched amps and connected them to my Rotel RB 991 and these speakers sound too darn good to let go. I'm going to pull these back off the for sale list. I feel like an idiot, sorry for my indecision.

If anyone is interested in some modded Lsi 7's, shoot me a pm, they just became expendable because the CRS+ are staying for a while

Aw man, that was the way I felt yesterday when I sold my CRS+'s. I got decent dough for them, but didn't want to let em go. The saving grace was the SDA 1B's rock my bedroom better than I do!! Oh Oh!!

But Sal, now you're confusing me!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

The CRS+ is really the darling of the SDA line in my opinion. TL them, put some 198's in, you've already done the xo's, so do some rings, dynamat, and armacell, and you've got yourself a pair of speakers for life. I've been up and down the SDA totem pole, but pound for pound you can't beat the little big boys. All that SDA goodness in a cabinet small enough to pick up and move if you need to. Can't beat 'em.

Lasereath....I not sure these will be available anytime soon, but if I ever decide to sell them again, I'll hit you with a pm before they go in the FM. Glad you didn't make an offer b4 my change of heart

I can't believe I was that......close to selling them!!! That would have been a big mistake and I was about to give them away.

Sorry Sal, I'm bummed to learn you have seller's remorse. But honestly, I had seller's remorse over my original CRS+'s that I sold years ago, which is why I bought yours. Another pair will come along.

nspindel.........Great work on those speakers. I agree that we have some fantastic people in this forum who readily share their knowledge and experience!!!!!! What a great place & people.

Those cabinets look sweeeeeet in maple. I wish mine looked like that. Question about the TL and 198 tweets. I bought these with the crossover mod already done by VR3 and 194 tweets. What has to be done to TL these and install the 198 tweets?

Your CRS+'s have a single tweeter and are pin/blade?

In that case, it's just a singe 5.6uF cap on both crossovers. If you look at the pics of the crossovers in post 4 of my 4.1TL thread, the sonicap all the way on the left side is the one. It sits in parallel with the 2R7 resistor. If the cap is in, you can use the Rd-0198 tweeter. Without it, you use RD-0194.

Oh phew! I was really upset when I thought you meant the pair you sold me. Didn't want you being upset hanging over how much I love these speakers. But I hear you, as much as I love the pair I that you sold me and I rebuilt, I don't have the same sentimental attachment that I would have had if these were the same pair I had bought in 1985. But that's ok. As you know, it's a whole different sentimental attachment to a pair when you rebuild them yourself, as I did with these and you did with your 1.2's. As I like to tell people about my speakers, I couldn't have bought 'em from a nicer guy, so I'm glad you don't regret the sale!
