My new snow moving machine bought last may when they went on sale. I got this baby when the ol toro died last year. It came in handy the last 2 days 24 inch wide and busts through snow drifts with ease. It is possibly the best purchase I made last year, best $549 I ever spent:cheesygrin:

I know who their main supplier is for gas engines.

    Electrolux, the vacuum people!

Nothing wrong with that believe me, they make excellent gas engines as my 55cc Craftsman 20" chainsaw can attest.

Excellent motor, and prolly better than Briggs could make.

I bought a 20" Craftsman lawnmorwer (push type) and prodded them to tell me the maker of the engine beforehand.
They said most all their gas engines are made by Electrolux (including chainsaws).

I have been more than happy the last 3 or 4 years that I put mine through hell!

It's not an Electrolux. It's a rebadged MTD snowblower, with their own chinese engine. Seems to get ok reviews.

Electrolux doesn't make gas engines, although they used to sell Poulan 2-stroke chainsaws and trimmers with their name on them. I don't think Sears actually makes anything anymore.

The engine driven snowblower is the greatest invention known to mankind and is positive proof that there is a God.

My dad had a John Deere snowblower that I used once when I was home on leave one Christmas. Did our driveway.
Did the neighbor lady's driveway. Did the people's across the street driveway. Completely cleared out the street in front of our houses.
Without breaking a sweat. Sweet !

I presently use a set of Texas Steer Steeltoes (Size 13") to kind of clear out our driveway, using the "Aw, that's good enough" standard.
Gawd, if I had a snowblower, I'd do the whole block.

I visit the quad cities quite often. Hang out at a few places when I'm out there, love Granite City. I do work for Deere, if you would like a tour of the facilities let me know. Cameras are not allowed but I can hook that up for you. Nothing runs like a Deere, so you are correct. If you want a Deere product let me know.
