i've got 4 1-2 hour sessions so far...yes, the stock signal tubes gotta go! i have a brimar doing the rectifier duties..the bass and impact continue to impress:cheesygrin:..however, the midrange sounds like shouting..too forward for my likes...i have 3 pairs of 12at7s on the way so the rolling will begin i got: GE double triode with O getter, new in box...amperex bugle boy, gray plate with halo getter...GE 3 mica...i'll give my rolling impressions, too..this has been a great upgrade...i never had this kind of impact down low, from these 2btl's....the remote volume adjustment i dont dig much, tho...other than that, my addiction will be very happy for the foreseeable future!

Hey Mike,I'm glad your enjoying the Dared,I think once you roll some 12at7 in that will help with your midrange.I have a set of Valvo 12at7 and tungsram rectifier, this is my first venture into separates and love it.I have the Dared and Belles one going to the SDA1Cs seems like a good match.Happy holidays to you too.

Sounds like you are going to be happy with it Mike.
Those tubes are a "Deep hole" to climb into.
I am looking at integrated "tubage" myself.
Which Belles amp are you running Dan?
There is one about 45 minutes from me on CL, and thought about giving it a listen.Testing

Paul I have the Belles one,100 watts nice little amp. What model is on CL?From what I have read most Belles amps are pretty good. When its time to upgrade again I think it will be another Belles.
Might be worth a run,if the price is right.

150A.
Pretty good deal from what I can tell (you never know with CL).
I have sent 2 emails and no response, may be a flake.
I am however pretty excited to be looking at some "Tubage" in my future also, it is the tube prices that "hurt".
From what I have read the Belles mate really well with tube pre's.Testing
