Hey crew, I need to know where to find a trigger wire to go from my Onk to the 2250. Any suggestions or links would be great! I thought a simple stereo 3.5mm wire would do it but I'd rather get the right thing!
AVR - Onkyo NR809
500gb HD for MP3 and FLAC files
Amp - Parasound 2250 - FOR SALE BTW!! PM me if interested!
Mains - Polk RTi12 towers

Sub - psw505
Movies and games - PS3
TV - Toshiba 52" HD

One more thing, I am not sure about the 809 but on my 709 the 12v trigger is only for the second zone. You may want to check that on the 809. I have been using audio sense on my 2125 and have not had any issues so far.

I think, like most Parasound amps, the 2250's input trigger jack is a 2.5 mm one. The trigger jack on almost all other gear is 3.5 mm. I'd recommend getting a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm cable from Parasound as they are not commonly available, or you could try splicing one together or buy an adapter from PartsExpress.

I'll add that in my experience you need to make sure you use a mono cable and not stereo.

Yep, should be mono, and the 2250 does have a 2.5mm jack. Get one of these:

Very good I was kinda confused about whether it should be set on minimum or maximum. I have had it set on minimum most of the day and the music very low and it's been working very very well! Maybe this is the fix.
