Mike, she have any hobbies? I once bought/assembled a crafts work bench for her from the cabinet section at the hardware store--she really likes it. Last year I bought her a real high-end sewing machine, because the loves to sew, but her old machine was a beater. She also got a Kindle Fire. She's also a HUGE fan of thick pajamas and warm slippers.....

I'am listening to the Boneyard on XM radio and the DJ Kayla, said dead sea things ( good for facials ) and diamonds would do it for her. I like Kaylas, choice of music. Now where do I find dead sea things in the midwest during this blizzard?

Kindle Fire/iPod Touch with Pandora would be a much better option imo.

A boyfriend ?? I dunno man. The wife and I don't buy for each other, everyone else yeah, us...no. We are better givers than receivers. We fill up the trunk with toys for the toys for tots thing, then we adopt a family in need and buy them tons of stuff. Feels unbelievably good to be able to help others down on their luck.

I take notes all year long. If I ask my wife this time of year she says she wants nothing. But all year long it's one big test to see if I'm listening. As already been mentioned, choose something that matches her current hobbies and taste. My wife likes to read. 2 years ago I got her a Nook. She loves it. Already got her PJ's, a new watch, slippers, new bed sheets (flannel and pretty like she likes them), new cap. touch gloves, chocolate, and earings.

She kept asking for kitchen appliances and a vacuum cleaner. Watch out, those are not for Christmas. Those are supposed to be bought outside of Christmas regardless of what she says.
