RtiA 9 or LsiM 703?
I am tossing some ideas around. Was wondering which would the better sounding.
13' x 25' dedicated theater room. All walls insulated as well as ceiling. Going to be running one SVS plus subwoofer. Polk RC 85i surrounds.
Powering everything with a 200x 5 external amp.
Which would sound the best for home theater only..... RtiA 9's or LsiM 703's for fronts.

Hi Stilly74 havent heard the LsiM series but do own the A9's and they do a wonderful job both for stereo and HT. I suggest you audition both with your external ampHT : Denon 3312, Sony BDP S390, Technics SBC450, Polk CSI A4, Jamo C401, Velodyne Impact 12
Stereo: Acurus A250, Acurus L10, Polk RTIA9, Sonodyne 4000DD TT -
either way you'd have to get the matching center, so that is an additional cost if you go LSiM.
I've owned both and I would not hesitate for one second on that decision: LsiM-703's. For sure. They are in a different league than the RTi's sound quality wise, and their matching center, the 706c, is better than the RTi's matching center, the CSiA6.. all of which I have owned.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's
Living Room: PC > Marantz AV-7703 > Emotiva XPA-5 > Sonus Faber Liuto Towers, Sonus Faber Liuto Center, Sonus Faber Liuto Bookshelves > Dual SVS PC12-Pluses
Office: Phone/Tablet > AudioEngine B1 > McIntosh D100 > Bryston 4B-ST > Polk Audio LSiM-703's -
LSiM's for the win!!!Polk Audio SDA 2.3tl Fully Hot Rodded. 😎
SVS SB16 X2
Cary SLP-05/Ultimate Upgrade.
Cary SA-500.1 ES Amps
Cary DMS 800PV Network
OPPO UDP 205/ModWright Modification
VPI Scout TT / Dynavector 20x2
Jolida JD9 Fully Modified
VPI MW-1 Cyclone RCM
MIT Shotgun 3 cables throughout / Except TT, and PC’s -
I will attest though (and Toolfan can too), that the A9's are awesome, and the CSiA6 is an awesome center... but the LSiM's are better. The LSiM 706C is the best center channel speaker Polk has have made. (thought I've never heard the LSiM-704C).2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

I have had both as well(rti12's) not 9's
But I've sold my 707's and just was wondering if my 703's( bookshelf) would preform better than the RtiA 9 floorstanders in home theater. -
