Pioneer Speakers and Receiver
These things are 15 years old. So far, the 2 inch tweeter is rather impressive, not very harsh at all! But that is all I know about this speaker, the tweeter.
They were free, they contained a 12 inch woofer and a 5.5 inch midrange. Both which were blown. So I took these under my sleaves for a project. Which I have proclaimed the Pioneer Project*!
A little about the speakers --
Model # - CS-E9000
150 watts of Power
8 Ohms
34hz-20khz
H - 3 FT W - 15 inches D - 1 FT
2" Tweeter
5.5" Midrange
12" Woofer
Simply crossover design, simple cabinet -- 3/4 inch MDF with vinyl.
I don't feel like stripping the current vinyl, or putting on new vinyl -- so I am just basically going to spray paint these speakers, which I am sure will look fine. A flat black. I am also going to get new grills made as these are less than acceptable. I am also purchasing new woofers and midranges. It looks to be around 150-160 dollars in restoration.
The receiver is in great shape, just needs some compressed air on the inside to get rid of the thick layer of dust.....
It also needs a volume knob, if someone could post me a link to a full volume knob, not just the knob, but the component with the knob - it was totally ripped off.
To lazy to look at the model # on it, it's nothing special. Anyways, though I would share my find.
